I was challenged with creating a visual storybook depicting the nursery rhyme, Hickory Dickory Dock. My only limitation besides not being able to use text, was that I was to only use “dingbats”, which are basically symbolic characters.
The file piece is an accordion style book that portrays movement by the “mouse”, up and down the “clock”. The only piece of the “mouse” that is shown is a symbol that represents its tail, shown once at the beginning and once at the end. The narrative is straight forward and readable with the given symbol set.
